DDG Files Emergency Motion Over Italy Trip — Says Halle Bailey Poses “Emotional and Psychological Risk”
DDG and Halle Bailey’s legal battle over their son Halo just took a sharp turn. The rapper filed an emergency motion Wednesday morning, asking the court to step in and block Bailey from taking their infant son to Italy this coming Saturday.
UPDATE: Halle Bailey Granted Temporary Sole Custody of Son Halo Following Allegations of Abuse Against Ex-DDG
According to the docs, DDG is waving red flags, claiming Halle isn’t in the right headspace to care for their child outside of court supervision. He says her mental health poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to baby Halo.
DDG Alleges Troubling Behavior by Halle Bailey During and After Pregnancy
In the motion, DDG details several incidents he believes prove Halle shouldn’t be allowed to leave the country with their son.
He claims that during her pregnancy, she once grabbed his gun and left without telling him where she was going. He later found her outside, just holding the weapon. “She was pregnant at the time,” DDG reportedly noted in the filing, emphasizing his concern for her emotional state.
Another claim from DDG is that Halle considered terminating her pregnancy without telling him, but eventually decided not to go through with it.
Two months after Halo was born, DDG says she allegedly sent “a series of alarming text messages threatening to kill herself and suggesting that their infant son, Halo, might also be harmed.”
These claims are serious, and DDG is making it clear he doesn’t feel safe with Halle having solo time with their child—especially not overseas.
Halle Bailey’s Past Accusations of Abuse Against DDG Come Back Into Focus
Now let’s be clear—this ain’t one-sided.
Halle Bailey has publicly accused DDG of abuse too. She previously alleged that DDG once slammed her face into a steering wheel and chipped her tooth. That’s not something to brush off, and it’s a claim that’s stuck with fans and followers of the couple’s toxic back-and-forth.
DDG, however, is now telling the court a different story.
He claims that during one custody exchange, Halle jumped in his backseat unannounced, insisting they create a co-parenting plan right then and there. He says she got agitated and started hitting him from the backseat. According to DDG, her momentum caused her to fly forward, accidentally hitting her own face on the steering wheel.
DDG Claims He Was the Victim of Abuse Too
In a surprising twist, DDG is flipping the narrative—accusing Halle of being physically abusive toward him.
As part of his filing, DDG included photos of a large cut on his hand, which he says Halle caused during one of their altercations.
He’s not just asking the court to block the Italy trip. DDG wants full custody. Specifically, he’s pushing for sole legal and physical custody of Halo. But if that’s off the table, he’s requesting that all future custodial exchanges be handled by a neutral third party to avoid any more drama.
