Famous Horror Movies That Got Bad Reviews

Is there an Elio post-credits scene? The new animated Pixar movie follows a young boy who accidentally becomes Earth’s ambassador to a faraway alien civilization, blending Pixar’s signature warmth with a vibrant sci-fi twist. But in an age where audiences are trained to stay glued to their seats long after the credits roll, one big question remains: does Elio follow the trend with a post-credit scene?

Here’s what we know about whether Elio has a post-credits, mid-credits, or after-credits scene.

Is there a post, mid, or end-credits scene in Elio?

Yes, there is a mid-credits scene and an end-credits scene in Elio, totaling to two moments you should stick around for after the final shot of the film.

ComingSoon screened the new Pixar adventure early, and there was one scene in the middle of the credits, which served as an extension of the film’s conclusion. There was also one little moment after all the credits and studio logos showed up one last time, which teased Pixar’s next original movie, Hoppers, premiering in theaters on March 6, 2026.

Adrian Molina (Coco), Domee Shi (Turning Red, Bao), and Madeline Sharafian (Burrow) co-directed this new movie starring Yonas Kibreab as the titular character who meets the aliens and Zoe Saldaña as Aunt Olga.

The making of Elio was a journey as imaginative as the film itself. Originally announced at the 2022 D23 Expo with Adrian Molina as writer-director, the story was conceived as a deeply personal coming-of-age tale inspired by feelings of youthful alienation. Molina eventually stepped away from the project, with Turning Red director Domee Shi and story artist Madeline Sharafian taking the helm.

Influenced by Spielbergian sci-fi and ‘70s horror such as E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Alien, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Elio embraces a cinematic language full of dreamy glows, shadows, and practical lens effects, offering a visual experience that feels both nostalgic and boldly original.

Elio beams into theaters on June 20, 2025.
