In a viral story out of India, a woman identified only as Nisha filed a police complaint after claiming her husband was blocking her content creation efforts. According to The Independent, Nisha, who lives in Hapur District of Uttar Pradesh, told police her husband’s nagging made it hard for her to keep up with her social media posting schedule.
She told police, “I didn’t get time to make reels,” and blamed a drop in Instagram followers—just two followers, to be exact—on her husband Vijendra, who reportedly told her to focus more on household chores instead of making daily content.

Nisha said she usually uploads two reels per day and is very active on her account. But after an argument about her content schedule, she packed up and moved back to her parents’ house in Pilkhuawa town, where she filed the official complaint. What makes this even messier? Vijendra wasn’t just blindsided—he filed a countercomplaint, claiming her “addiction to social media” was the real reason for the household tension.
He told police that Nisha refused to complete domestic duties, threatened to leave him if he didn’t support her online career, and cared more about her followers than her family.

After both complaints were filed, local officers intervened and counseled the couple, encouraging them to resolve their issues. Nisha ultimately withdrew her complaint, but the damage was already done.
As of now, the couple remains separated, and Vijendra says he even lost his job because of the situation going viral in their community.
