Everything to Know Before the New Series

The highly anticipated Gachiakuta anime has finally received an official release date for both its Japanese and English dub versions. The animated show, which draws inspiration from the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kei Urana, will hit small screens next month, with its subbed and dubbed variations coming out on the same day.

Gachiakuta’s English dub cast and same-day release revealed

Renowned streaming giant Crunchyroll recently announced the release date for the English dub version of Gachiakuta, which happens to coincide with the premiere of its original version with the Japanese voiceover. Both editions of the anime are currently on track to air simultaneously on July 6, 2025.

In addition to confirming the premiere date for Gachiakuta’s Japanese and English dub versions, Crunchyroll also announced the cast for the English dub version in its latest release. The cast for the dubbed version is as follows:

Rudo is voiced by Bryson Baugus

Enjin is voiced by Christopher Wehkamp

Zanka is voiced by Corey Wilder

Riyo is voiced by Katie Caruso

Jabber is voiced by Zeno Robinson

Regto is voiced by John Burgmeier

Produced by Studio Bones, which also worked on the 2025 anime My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Gachiakuta revolves around the misadventures of Rudo, a young man who resides in the slum section of a dystopian society. After he is wrongly charged with murder, Rudo is banished to the Abyss, a dangerous and polluted area that houses all the criminals of the region. In order to survive the harsh wilderness of the Pit, Rudo joins forces with the Cleaners, who battle all the devilish monsters lurking in the forgotten land.

Fumihiko Suganuma, of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai fame, is the series’ director, with Hiroshi Seko delivering the composition for the Gachiakuta anime. Meanwhile, Godzilla Singular Point alum Satoshi Ishino provides the character designs/chief animation direction for the anime adaptation of the fan-favorite manga series.
