Fallout Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch

The official The Naked Gun reboot runtime has been announced for Paramount Pictures‘ upcoming sequel to the original Police Squad franchise. The Liam Neeson-led comedy movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on August 1, 2025.

“Only one man has the particular set of skills… to lead Police Squad and save the world! Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. follows in his father’s footsteps in The Naked Gun,” reads the official synopsis.

What is The Naked Gun reboot runtime?

According to the British Board of Film Classification, The Naked Gun reboot will officially have a total running time of 85 minutes or an hour and 25 minutes. Interestingly, the first two installments of The Naked Gun franchise were also 85 minutes long, while its threequel Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult has remained as its shortest installment with a runtime of 82 minutes.

The Naked Gun is directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer of The Lonely Island comedy group (Hot Rod), who has been attached to helm the reboot since 2022. The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, and Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston. Schaffer also co-wrote the screenplay with Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. It is also produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins for Fuzzy Door, with Daniel M. Stillman, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary executive producing.

The original 1988 movie served as a spin-off to 1982’s Police Squad! It featured Nielsen reprising his role as Detective Sergeant Frank Drebin. It went on to spawn two more sequels, including 1991’s The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear and 1994’s Naked Gun 33 1⁄3: The Final Insult.
