Scheana Shay claimed Kristen Doute “reached out” to her after publicly questioning why Scheana revealed her husband Brock Davies’ past affair in her new book, My Good Side. The Vanderpump Rules alum, who’s rumored to be joining The Valley next season, also shared whether she’s still in touch with her Pump Rules castmates.
Last month on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Kristen questioned why Scheana waited so long to reveal the affair, given her claim that the couple got past it. Kristen also suggested that Scheana threw Brock under the bus.
“Kristen reached out to me after she did the interview, before it came out, and told me she had said some unkind things about Brock,” said Scheana at her Shein collaboration launch party, via Page Six. “[I] appreciated the heads up, but I wish she would’ve spoken to me first instead of saying, ‘Well I don’t understand why you would put this out there now.’ If you asked me, I would explain it.”
“And the second I explained why I put it out there, she goes, ‘Oh, I get that. I understand that,” she recalled. “So I’m like, next time just ask me first. We’re friends. You know, you don’t need to go talk about it on a podcast when you don’t have all the context.”
Scheana was then asked if she still keeps in touch with her Pump Rules co-stars.
“Not really, no,” she said. “Here and there a text, but everyone’s just kind of gone on their own path, and I wish everyone the best.”
Scheana claimed she tends to hang out with her “mom friends,” including Michelle Saniei, Janet Caperna, and Brittany Cartwright, who are “some of my closest friends.”
Last month, Scheana first shared the excerpt revealing how Brock confessed his affair.
“I noticed his face was serious, and my heart began beating against my chest,” she wrote in the memoir, via Glamour. “My whole body froze, and I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he’d cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer.”
