It has been over a year since a new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey aired, and there’s no concrete news about season 15. Now, Dolores Catania is revealing which of the ladies she still speaks to, and she’s also responding to the latest casting rumors.
Regarding the rumors, it has been stated that RHONJ season 15 will be cast around Dolores, 54, Melissa Gorga, 46, and Margaret Josephs, 58. Additionally, Joe Gorga, 51, was recently seen telling fans that he and Melissa are back.
Dolores recently opened up about The Real Housewives of New Jersey and if the upcoming Real Housewives of Rhode Island can take its place in an interview with E! News. “New Jersey’s in a league of its own,” she began. “So, I think that it won’t, only because you’ve made relationships with us. We remind you of your aunt or your mom or your cousins. I think it’s the people that you miss even more than the show.”
Regarding what she misses about filming RHONJ, Dolores stated, “I miss everything about filming.” She went on, “I miss the good times and the bad times. It’s a relationship I’ve been doing for over eight years now, and you miss the people that you saw so often. It’s like a bad breakup.”
Additionally, she’s seen the support she’s gotten from fans of the show since it’s been on an extended hiatus. “I’ve gotten so much support over the years and I can’t thank everybody enough for that,” Dolores said. “It means the world to me. Like, I want to bring everyone over [to] the house. I don’t care if it’s a million people, I want everyone to sleep over and stay.”
She was then asked who she speaks to from the cast. The RHONJ star said, “I spoke to almost everyone today. I keep in touch with all of them: Jen Fessler, Margaret Josephs, Melissa [Gorga], Teresa [Giudice], and Danielle Cabral. The Jersey girls are tied. I really hope we come back.”
She also spoke about RHRI, saying, “I think it’s amazing. I know some of the girls, and you are in for a treat. You think we’re Italian? They paint the streets with the Italian flag in Rhode Island. They’re feisty.” When asked if fans can expect to see her on the upcoming series, she teased, “Stay tuned.”
In other Dolores news, she was recently on an episode of Two Ts In a Pod, and on it, Teddi Mellencamp asked her about the previously mentioned casting rumors for RHONJ. She responded, “I don’t think that’s to be true.” Dolores then asked Teddi, “What does cast around mean?” After getting the answer, she said, “Cannot confirm that.”
Then, she reiterated the previous public statements about the show’s future, which is, “No decisions have been made yet.”
