Keira Knightley Stars in Netflix Movie

August 22-24 Box Office Recap – ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ makes history by debuting at #1 with $19.2M, the first Netflix film to achieve it. ‘Honey Don’t!’ and ‘Eden’ disappoint in their debuts. ‘F1’ and ‘Superman’ cross $600M worldwide.

Picturehouse Entertainment has released the official trailer for Urchin, the upcoming British drama which hails from actor-turned-filmmaker Harris Dickinson. The movie had its world premiere last May at the Un Certain Regard section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where Dickinson won the FIPRESCI Prize. Since then, the movie has garnered a Tomatometer rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 29 reviews.

Urchin is written and directed by Dickinson, who’s best known for his roles in movies such as 2022’s Triangle of Sadness, 2022’s Where the Crawdads Sing, 2023’s The Iron Claw, and 2024’s Babygirl. This marks the English actor’s feature-length directorial debut. At the moment, Dickinson is preparing for his next major acting project in the form of Sam Mendes’ The Beatles biopic movies, where he’s expected to play John Lennon.

What is Urchin about?

“It follows Mike, a rough sleeper in London, trapped in a cycle of self-destruction as he attempts to turn his life around. Raw and absurd, the film is a story about the strange patterns that keep pulling us back,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

The Urchin cast includes Frank Dillane as Mike, Megan Northam as Andrea, Amr Waked, Shonagh Marie as Chanelle, Karyna Khymchuk, Diane Axford as Lynne, Okezie Morro as Simon, and more. Besides Dickinson, Dillane also won a Best Actor award at Cannes for his leading performance. It is produced by Archie Pearch and Scott O’Donnell, with Ama Ampadu, Alexandra Tynion, Olivia Tyson, and Eva Yates serving as executive producers.
