Keke Palmer was asked to give an update on the status of her situation with Darius Daulton, and — despite trying to play it coy — social media believed the actress’ tight-lipped answer spoke volumes.

The True Jackson, VP star shared her commentary during a Monday morning (Sept. 25) sit-down on TODAY. Co-hosts Holda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager started off by bringing up how Keke and Darius enjoyed a fun night out earlier this month while attending the Renaissance World Tour on Beyoncé Knowles‘ birthday (Sept. 4).
After beaming and recalling how the pair had a great time, the co-hosts inquired if Keke was happy, and she responded affirmatively.
“Yes, life is good. I have nothing but gratitude, honestly. Seriously.”
Of course, Jenna Bush Hager then asked if Keke and Darius were together in the aftermath of the recent drama stemming from his public commentary about her.
In response, though, Keke Palmer said she wanted to channel Beyoncé and keep things private.
“I’m going to take a page out of Beyoncé’s book: Mind y’all’s business.”
Social Media Reacts To Keke’s Answer
While Keke tried to keep her answer as private as possible, people swiftly began reading between the lines of social media.
Beneath The Shade Room‘s upload on the situation, @riaaaaxoo interpreted the situation by noting, “‘Mind y’all business’ = that’s still my man.”
Another user going by @beautymuva_ applauded Keke Palmer’s response and declared, “He put us in the chat… but I love that she took us out!”
On the other hand, though, @citydontdoit pushed back by writing, “Naw you made it everybody bizness in the beginning!”
Similarly, @theanthonylindsey questioned why Keke would keep the matter off the table.
“Don’t go on an interview if you want people to mind their business. An interview entire concept are questions the viewers want to know.”
Showing her support, though, @lalamilan praised Keke and let fans know that Palmer doesn’t owe ’em a single thing.
“Period! People can share what they wanna share. Just because we knew they were together at one point in time don’t mean she gotta keep us updated.. also, technically he never said they were together, he just said she was a mom.”
She added, “And before y’all try to attack me, put that energy into those goals that you’ve been procrastinating on.” Oop!
