Summary

Selling the OC star Alexandra Hall’s facing racism allegations due to an argument with Brandi Marshall, where she appeared to be trying to reinforce offensive Black stereotypes. Fans of Selling the OC criticized Alex, claiming that she was using microaggressions and playing the victim during the disagreement. While Alex may not have intended to be racist, her behavior (and the opinions of fans) suggest that it was perceived as such, prompting the need for damage control.

Selling the OC star Alexandra Hall’s known for her flirty conduct with Tyler Stanaland, but she’s also being called out for alleged racism, and it’s time to discuss the scandal. Recently, Alexandra’s castmate Kayla Cardona said that she thinks Alex deserves the criticism she’s been getting. Alex has been accused of trying to portray Black women as erratic.

Selling the OC season 2’s all about drama. Tyler stirred up plenty of it, and may have ended up divorced as a result. He shared a controversial kiss with Polly Brindle, and there are cheating rumors about Tyler and Alex. Tyler’s denied any impropriety with Alex, and Tyler’s ex Brittany Snow’s currently focused on healing. Now, Alex is getting dragged for possibly being a racist, and this scandal is making headlines.

Why Was Alexandra Hall Accused Of Racism?Alex Hall Selling The OC taking selfie in bathroom

Selling the OC’s Alexandra Hall got into an argument with Brandi Marshall, which led to the racism claims. First, Brandi called Alexandra, “messy” onscreen. Brandi felt that Alex was flirting with reality TV star Tyler, who was then married to Brittany. In Mexico, their feud escalated dramatically. During their disagreement, Alex was possibly racist, as she seemed to be going out of her way to make it look like Brandi was going to get physical with her. However, Brandi never laid a hand on her.

Selling The OC Fans Are Sounding Off About The Alleged Racism

Online, Selling the OC fans felt that Alex was using microaggressions to denigrate her castmate, Selling the OC’s Brandi Marshall. Alex was accused of playing the victim after painting Brandi as potentially violent. The gist was that Alex was trying to bring offensive Black stereotypes into play. As per TMZ, a Twitter user wrote, “You do not ask a black girl, what are you doing to do, hit me?” Another person commented, “Hall really showing her microaggressions towards Brandi.”

Alex clearly went too far while arguing with Brandi. She shouldn’t have intimated that Brandi was going to hit her. There was no real reason to make that kind of accusation, and it didn’t look good. While Alex may not have intended to use microaggressions, the fact that many fans felt she did speaks volumes. The opinions of those viewers do matter and should be considered. However, Alex should also be able to share her side of the story. It’s clear that Alex has been involved in some problematic behavior on Selling the OC season 2, and she may want to try and do some damage control.
