He told officers he received a series of shocking text messages from a woman named Bailey around 2:04 a.m., letting him know his baby girl was outside. The father admitted he didn’t notice the texts until about 2:45 a.m., which meant the infant sat outside alone in her car seat for nearly 40 minutes.

The alleged text messages, obtained by KWTX, paint a picture of a woman who appeared to be done with the situation. Bailey reportedly wrote, “come and get your baby… [she] is at the door. Bye. Talk to you tomorrow. IDC. Call CPS [Child Protective Services] on me. Get your kid, bro.”
In another message, she doubled down: “IDC anymore. Hope you get her or someone else is going to her so it’s going to be bad.”
Those words hit hard. Instead of leaving the baby with a trusted adult or contacting CPS herself, she allegedly chose to leave the child exposed in the middle of the night — a decision that put her behind bars.
Arrest And Charges Filed In Hewitt, Texas
Law enforcement later tracked Bailey to her home in Hewitt, Texas. Reports say she was allegedly found drinking at the time officers showed up. She was arrested and charged with abandoning/endangering a child without intent to return, a third-degree felony under Texas law.
