Roommates, hold ya wigs cause the Grande Dame is back! New videos show Karen Huger leaving a Maryland prison six months early. She was sentenced to two years in prison, with one year suspended for multiple DUI-related convictions. She hasn’t spoken out since her release early Tuesday morning, but her release footage shows her waving at a few media cameras waiting outside.

Karen Huger Spotted Leaving Prison
According to TMZ, Karen Huger left the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland at 10 a.m. ET. Video footage from 7NewsDC journalist Jade Lawson shows Karen wearing a white or cream-colored, long-sleeved top. She briefly stuck her hand out the window to wave from the black truck. However, the vehicle kept pushing forward and didn’t pause for commentary from the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star. Her release comes just in time for her to catch (and possibly feature in???) the tenth season of the Bravo series, which airs on October 5. Like Karen, the network hasn’t revealed its plans for Huger regarding her OG slot in ‘RHOP.’
Legally, What’s Next For Karen?
In addition to her two-year sentence, Karen Huger had to pay $2,900 in fines. Now that she’s released, she’s banned from driving for the next year and has to visit a parole officer for the next five. The judge remanded her into custody immediately after the sentencing hearing in February.
As previously reported, she picked up the DUI charges after becoming intoxicated, slamming into a road median with her vehicle, striking a crosswalk sign at an intersection, and then a parking sign before finally pulling over. Last December, bodycam footage surfaced of Karen Huger the night of the March 2024 incident. Her husband, Ray, was present and also engaging with the police.
