The Rookie Season 8 Episode 2 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch

Freddie Wong is back with a new video on the Rocket Jump YouTube channel, and it’s one that fans won’t want to miss. After a very long break, Wong dropped a wildly entertaining deep dive into his filmmaking journey, reflecting on where he started, where he’s been, and where he’s headed with his upcoming hardcore action project Nail House.

While the video is fun and packed with Wong’s signature humor, it also delivers a sobering reality check about what it actually takes to make a movie or TV series within the Hollywood system. Spoiler: it’s way tougher than most people realize.

Wong pulls no punches as he talks about the hurdles he’s faced. He shares how AT&T screwed him over because he didn’t want to sell out to them.

He also opens up about originally pitching The Witcher to Netflix long before it became the massive series fans know today. According to Wong, the streamer ultimately moved forward without him, and that decision snowballed into him and his team getting dropped by their talent agency.

The whole thing is wild, but Wong tells it in such a hilarious and engaging way that you can’t help but be glued to the screen. It’s a real and candid behind-the-scenes look at the uphill battle of turning creative ideas into reality, even for a filmmaker as skilled and respected as Wong.

Now, with Nail House in development, Wong looks like he’s ready to bring his action filmmaking chops back to the spotlight. If you’ve followed his career or loved his past Rocket Jump projects, this new video is essential viewing. It’s funny, eye-opening, and inspiring.
