Promoting his new book, Federline sat down with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier. Together, they spoke about his story, marriage and divorce from Spears, co-parenting, and more. Federline talked about Spears’ controversial conservatorship and her father Jamie Spears. He also spoke on the #FreeBritney movement, and how he still fears for his ex-wife. Specifically, he fears “something bad” will happen to her and says, “It’s time to sound the alarm.”
He wishes “she would get help” for the sake of their two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19. Both grew up largely in Federline’s custody. Meanwhile, Spears spent 13 years in a conservatorship, under her father’s thumb. In November 2021, a judge terminated the arrangement.

Additionally, in his new interview, Federline alleged that Spears is an absentee mother. He also alleged that she’s shown “erratic behavior” around their two boys. In an excerpt from his book, he even alleged that Spears sometimes used to watch their sons sleep “with a knife in her hand.”
Federline also talked about Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. He claimed that on the night before their wedding, he caught Spears on the phone with Timberlake. Federline recalls Spears telling him that she only phoned her ex-boyfriend for closure. He said, at the time, he took her word for it, instead of seeing the “big red flag.”

Britney Spears Slams ‘Gaslighting’ Ex-Husband Kevin Federline After He Talks Her Conservatorship, Alleged Absenteeism From Sons, And More
Since Kevin Federline’s new interview and ahead of his new memoir, Britney Spears is now slamming her “gaslighting” ex-husband.
While taking to her Instagram on Wednesday (October 15), she wrote, “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life.

Spears continued, “Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by own father for me. They need to take responsibility for themselves. With one son only seeing me for 45 min in the past 5 years and the other with only 4 visits in the past 5 years. I have pride too. From now on I will let them know when I am available.”
She added, “Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank. And I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here. I will always love them and if you really know me, you won’t pay attention to the tabloids of my mental health and drinking. I’m actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.”
