Charlie Kirk‘s widow Erika Kirk and Vice President JD Vance are going viral as photos show his hand on her waist and her hand caressing his head during a warm embrace. Moments before the embrace, Erika claimed, “No one will ever replace my husband, but JD has some similarities.”

Erika Kirk Remembers Late Husband Charlie Kirk 7 Weeks After Assassination, Claims JD Vance Has ‘Some Similarities’
On Wednesday (October 29), Erika, 36, introduced Vice President Vance, 41, on stage at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi. Erika took over as CEO of her late husband’s company after his assassination on September 10. Also present at the event was Vance’s wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, 39.
Erika opened the event with an emotional speech about the late right-wing political organizer, with whom she shares two children. She noted that the day marked seven weeks since her 31-year-old husband’s death. She said:
“When our team asked my dear friend, Vice President JD Vance, to speak today, I really prayed on it, because obviously it’s a very emotional, emotional day. But I could just hear Charlie in my heart. I could just hear him say, ‘Go reclaim that territory, babe. Go. The battle’s already won. God’s love conquers.’”

While Erika’s eyes welled up with tears, she told the crowd how VP Vance, 41, reminds her of her late husband. She said, “No one will ever replace my husband. But I do see some similarities of my husband in JD— in Vice President JD Vance. I do. And that’s why I am so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight.”
Shortly after, Erika welcomed Vance to the stage. As he took the stage, he and Erika shared a warm, intimate embrace. As they came together, the VP at first held her back, then rested his hands on Erika’s lower waist/upper hips. Meanwhile, she caressed his head after weaving her right hand fingers into his hair.
Erika and VP Vance’s intimate embrace sent shockwaves across the internet. Social media users scurried to their respective platforms to share their immediate reactions. Many were stunned by their encounter, busy analyzing their hand placements and studiously debating and deliberating on whether or not the hug was appropriate.

Vice President JD Vance Hopes His Wife, Who Was Raised Hindu, Will Convert To Catholicism While Revealing How They’re Raising Three Children Christian
Also during the event, social media noted how VP Vance shared a different religious belief than the second lady. Vance received a question about his wife of more than a decade, with whom he shares three children.
The question asked how the couple mange to raise their kids in an inter-faith household. While the second lady was raised Hindu, Vance converted to Catholicism during his adulthood. He answered by explaining they’re simply raising their kids as Christian. However, he did hope his wife would one day convert. He said:
“Most Sundays, Usha will come with me to church. Do I hope, eventually, that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was moved in by church? Yeah, honestly, I do wish that, because I believe in the Christian gospel and I hope eventually my wife comes to see it the same way.”
