Filming Avengers: Doomsday was like nothing before it! Florence Pugh speaks out on her experience making a return for the MCU’s biggest crossover.
The reason many fans are excited about Avengers: Doomsday is because they’re going to get to seer their childhood favorites like James Marsden’s Cyclops and Ian McKellen’s Magneto finally return to the silver screen. However, the old staples aren’t the only people set to appear in the film. The movie will also feature some of the franchise’s newest stars, such as Simu Liu and Florence Pugh.
Many cast members of Avengers: Doomsday have been very vocal about the process of working on one of the MCU’s biggest productions. Alan Cumming specifically has been outspoken in how excited he is to return on the silver screen. However, other actors such as Florence Pugh have mostly maintained their silence about the upcoming project.
Florence Pugh Speaks Out About Avengers: Doomsday
The actress finally broke her vow of silence during a recent appearance on The Louis Theroux podcast. When asked about her experience of working with the vast cast of Avengers: Doomsday, it seemed as though Florence Pugh had nothing but praise. Pugh painted her return to the MCU as more like an adventure than a job.
“The other day, I was on set with the most incredible cast, and we’re all dressed in our superhero costumes, and we’re all playing. Like, just playing as if we’re saving the world. It’s just such a unique thing to do.”
Given how much noise has been made about Avengers: Doomsday being shot piecemeal over a green screen, it is good to hear that Florence Pugh was able to have fun with her fellow cast members during production. Hopefully the project won’t just be the return of many key actors, but the return to form that the MCU has been needing for quite some time.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
