Felicity Jones came across Star Wars actor Harrison Ford at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film. It was a candid moment when she bumped into Ford and said it felt like meeting a family legend. The actress also admitted that she was at a loss for words when the two conversed.

Felicity Jones reacts to Harrison Ford’s appearance at the new movie’s premiere

Rogue One star Felicity Jones appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie. She met with Harrison Ford on the red carpet. Recalling the same, the actress said, “That was a real moment for me. Obviously, he’s like the forefather of the whole universe. It’s like meeting my great ancestral figure.”

Adding, she said, “I was a little bit speechless, taken aback. I actually really studied him, studied his work to play Jyn Erso in the film. He was a massive, massive inspiration, particularly what he does in Indiana Jones. I watched them over and over and over again because I wanted to have some of that looseness that he has to be in her. It was very special, the worlds colliding tonight.” (via Variety)

Felicity Jones is starring in the upcoming movie, Train Dreams, alongside co-star Joel Edgerton. The latter was the one who invited Harrison Ford to the premiere in Los Angeles. Edgerton said that having Ford there felt personal to him. He is also connected to the Star Wars universe through two projects. The actor said, “He’s a good enough friend to want to support the film and hang out, and that made me feel very special.”

Train Dream focuses on a simple man living in the 20th century who is contemplating his life. Joel Edgerton felt that Harrison Ford could relate to the movie. It was because the latter lives in Wyoming and is very “connected to nature.” He also revealed that the 83-year-old used to be a carpenter before becoming a movie star.

Edgerton explained, “In fact, I tried to buy a house back about eight years ago, and the realtor said, ‘You know, one of the cool things about this house is Harrison Ford built the kitchen.’ And when I worked with Harrison, I told him this story, and he goes, ‘Yeah,’ and he told me the address of the house.”
