Does Leonardo DiCaprio know ball? The actor has revealed which Christopher Nolan movie stands out above the rest as his favorite from the director.
There are two very distinct worlds when it comes to the “greats” in movie history. Leonardo DiCaprio stands in a wide, wide pantheon of “great” actors in the modern day. From Timothee Chalamet to Emma Stone, there seems to be no shortage of amazing talent these days. However, the pool of those considered to be a truly “great” director seems to shrink by the year. In fact, most people can only name a handful: Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorcese.
It’s not often these two worlds collide off the screen itself. But when they do, interesting revelations certainly come out. Often, actors avoid speaking of a director aside from how their experience working with them was or their hopes to work with them again. But in a recent chat with Collider, Leonardo DiCaprio got to give his thoughts on the work of Christopher Nolan.
What Is Leonardo DiCaprio’s Favorite Christopher Nolan Film?
Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio Del Toro sat down with the outlet to promote their recent film One Battle After Another. During the chat, they were asked what their favorite films were from a number of high-profile directors. One such director was Christopher Nolan. While many might expect DiCaprio to proclaim Inception as his favorite Nolan project, given he starred in it, the actor actually revealed that The Dark Knight stands out as his personal peak of the director’s filmography.
This isn’t too shocking, given that The Dark Knight is widely considered to be one of the best films of all time. However, given Leonardo DiCaprio’s public disdain for superhero projects, it’s interesting that it’s the one he would drop as his favorite flick – especially given the pedigree of Christopher Nolan’s catalogue. Though it seems, whether one is an actor or director, one thing remains constant: game recognizes game.
The Dark Knight is now streaming on HBO Max. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding The Batman universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
