Sydney Sweeney Reveals Her ‘Biggest Fear’ Amid New Romance

Sydney Sweeney may have a handful of fears, but the one that seems to weigh on her most has to do with her love life.

The actress, who has stirred controversy several times this year, admitted that her most irrational fear is ending up alone. Her candid confession comes amid her ongoing relationship with Scooter Braun, which began only a few months after she ended her engagement to longtime partner Jonathan Davino.

Months after ending her engagement to Davino earlier in the year, Sweeney began a new relationship with record executive Scooter Braun, whom she first crossed paths with at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Venetian wedding.

With the quick transition, surprising many at the time, Sweeney has now seemingly offered some context as to why she didn’t take a prolonged break from dating.

In an interview with Vogue, she was asked by Amanda Seyfried about her “most irrational fear.”

Sweeney then replied, “I mean, my biggest fear is I’ll be alone forever,” which prompted Seyfried to say, “That’s irrational.”

Sweeney’s remarks come two months after sources told People Magazine that she loves the romantic connection she shares with Braun.

“She’s having fun with Scooter and enjoys dating him,” a source told the outlet in September.

The insider also confirmed that Sweeney’s September 12 birthday was spent with Braun, and that she had a “great time” with the 44-year-old record executive due to his easygoing energy that she finds refreshing.

“He’s engaging, down-to-earth, and she likes being around him,” the source added about Justin Bieber’s former manager.

That same month, the duo spent Labor Day weekend together at a lakeside getaway at Lake Tahoe. They were said to have spent the time “getting to know one another,” and Braun has reportedly enjoyed every moment.

“He’s loving spending time with her and seeing where things go,” a source said about the entrepreneur.

Earlier this month, the couple was spotted packing on the PDA during an outing in New York City’s Central Park.

The duo shared a deep kiss while sitting on a large rock surrounded by foliage.

They were both dressed casually for the outing, wearing jackets and denims along with fancy shoes. Braun also had on a baseball cap, while Sweeny wore a stylish pair of sunglasses.

Regarding their relationship, a source said Sweeney’s friends are “really happy” about it and feel relieved to see her “genuinely happy” with the music executive.

Braun’s friends share similar sentiments and are grateful that the romance is blossoming so quickly.

“They say it’s been a long time since they’ve seen him this settled in a relationship, and they can tell how much he admires her,” added the source, per People. “He thinks she’s smart, kind, and fun, and she appreciates how he really sees her for who she is beyond all the noise.”

Despite the sudden end of her engagement to Davino, Sweeney appears to have remained on amicable terms with him.

She was spotted in the passenger seat of Davino’s car on November 1, somewhere in Los Angeles, suggesting that they are still comfortable in each other’s presence.

A source later told People that Sweeney “was determined to remain friendly with him after they split, but she has fully moved on.”

“She’s really tried to keep things amicable. He still asks to see her, and she has when she’s had the time, but she’s never getting back together with him,” the source adds. “She just wants to move on now,” the insider added.

As to why Sweeney ended her engagement to Davino earlier in the year, a different source shared back in March that the actress felt it wasn’t the right move to get married at the time.

“She didn’t feel right about it,” the insider revealed. “She is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago.”

They further noted, “This is what she wants to focus on right now. She’s not ready to settle down.”
