Actress Millie Bobby Brown has officially revealed her new name and it’s causing a lot of confusion, particularly with fellow Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp. In a humorous segment on the YouTube channel VT, the pair sat down for a quiz where the interviewer asked Schnapp, who was recently revealed to be the godfather of Millie’s baby, if he knew her full name. Hesitating for a few moments, he responded “Millie Bonnie Brown,” referring to the Eleven actress revealing in March that her actual middle name was “Bonnie” and that “Bobby” wasn’t really a part of it. And while she confirmed her co-star’s guess, she replied, “Well, now…,” prompting Schnapp to figure out what her updated name is.
Millie Bobby Brown has changed her name after a year of marriage
Schnapp was on the right track in the segment when he thought that Millie Bonnie Brown had a name change due to her marriage to Jake Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi’s son, in May 2024.
“Oh, Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi,” Schnapp replied. When he received a dry “no,” the pair started laughing as the Will Byers actor continued to guess her name for the next minute.
He tried “Millie Bonnie Bobby Bongiovi,” “Millie Bonnie Bobby Bongiovi Brown,” “Millie Bonnie Brown,” and “Millie Bonnie Bongiovi Brown” before the actress stopped him and slapped the arm of his chair.
“Just drop the Brown! Drop the Bonnie, drop the Brown! It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi,” she clarified to Schnapp’s relief.
A few moments later, she offered a new nickname based on the name change: “Millie BonBon.” For clarity, in the US the “Bon Bon” typically refers to the Hershey’s confection made from ice cream and chocolate, but in the UK, the bonbon is a hard candy coated in sugar that has a chewy center.
Schnapp offered a different nickname in response, “Millie B-B-B-B-B,” causing the pair to giggle until the end of the segment.
