Season 5 doesn’t only serve as the final season of The Boys. For better or worse, every spin-off of the franchise has been stapled to the mainline show’s storyline. And this trailer proves that these last few episodes will culminate the story across almost every installment of the franchise, likely leaving Amazon rudderless for the road ahead.
Truthfully, it won’t be a bad thing if season 5 of The Boys ends up being the final season for all of the spin-offs in the universe. Depending on how well the ending is received, it’s possible that Amazon axes their unproduced projects just to leave the franchise on a relatively high note. Though early reactions suggest that the trailer is being received well enough.
