Meghan King will be seeing her children for a “few weeks” each summer after agreeing to them living full-time in Tennessee with her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, and his wife, Kortnie O’Connor.
Nearly a month after the 41-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum temporarily lost custody of the kids, including eight-year-old daughter Aspen and seven-year-old twins Hart and Hayes, after a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation allegedly found that she had given Hayes unprescribed Ritalin, details of her new custody arrangement with Jim, 55, have been revealed.
On December 11, Us Weekly confirmed that Meghan and Jim, who were married from 2014 to 2019, reached an agreement with one another before a scheduled court hearing set for earlier this month.
As RHOC fans may recall, a school employee reported Meghan to CPS after she allegedly gave Hayes the Ritalin, which is used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and asked the school to do the same. Soon after, she was granted supervised visitation.
Following the news of Meghan’s custody loss last month, Kelly Dodd, 50, insisted her former RHOC co-star was an “excellent mother.”
“I can tell you, she loves those babies. She loves those kids, and I know for a fact she is a good mother. She is an excellent mother, and I just pray that she gets her babies back,” she shared in a clip shared on social media.
“Everyone just pray for Meghan and her family,” she continued. “Those boys and that daughter need their mom. They need their mother, and it’s terrible. It’s terrible what is going on right now. All we can do is just pray for Meghan.”
Tamra Judge, 58, also weighed in on her podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, saying that Meghan was “devastated.”
“Her family is devastated. To have your children taken away from you by a third party, I couldn’t even imagine,” she stated. “The kids are very confused. They don’t fully understand things. They’re young. They’re really young. I just hope everything gets back to normal before the holidays.”
Meghan King was featured alongside Jim on The Real Housewives of Orange County seasons 10 through 12.
