Crystal Minkoff Spills ‘Tea’ On Ashley Tisdale Mom Group Drama

Ashley Tisdale’s mom group drama is far from over, and another high-profile personality has weighed in on the situation. 

Crystal Minkoff spilled some insider information about the feud and how the situation gave her mixed feelings. 

This comes after Tisdale revealed that she walked out of her group of mom friends because she began to feel alienated by certain members of the group. 

During a recent episode of her “Humble Brag” podcast, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star gave her two cents about the recent drama that went down in Ashley Tisdale’s friend group. 

In an essay published by The Cut, Tisdale got raw and honest about feeling “frozen” out of a mom group. Further investigation from fans alleged that the group comprised celebrities, such as Mandy Moore, Hilary Duff, and Samii Ryan. 

Following the widespread traction caused by the essay, Minkoff revealed that she could somehow relate to Tisdale’s plight. Drawing from her own experience as a reality star on “RHOBH,” Minkoff noted that she lost 14 friends after making her debut on the show. 

“I don’t want to give too much tea about it because it’s their personal stuff. I just found it really interesting. I posted on Threads the other day a joke, like, ‘Oh, this is so 2021, I already went through this,’” she said.

The 42-year-old TV star shared that she knows “70%” of the group, and she doesn’t want to share their “personal stuff” out there. However, she sent a message to one of the members of the group to find out more information.

“I was like, ‘I gotta know what’s going on.’ They said, ‘It’s so ironic that we’re the toxic ones and she’s on her own,” Minkoff revealed.

Nevertheless, the reality star admitted to having “mixed feelings” towards the situation. On one hand, she could relate to Tisdale’s plight, and on the other hand, she knows Duff and cannot imagine her being toxic.

“I went through this. I lived it. So my initial [feeling] is I feel for all sides, because I know the group. I will say, someone like Hillary, I’ve known her for 10 years. Super sweet. I cannot see her being a mean girl like that, but it’s dynamic. So, I feel for Ashley,” she added. 

Minkoff isn’t the only celebrity to weigh in on the explosive Hollywood drama.

Comedian Chelsea Handler also spoke about the friendship fallout, noting that while she doesn’t know the full details of the situation, she knows that Moore is a “wonderful, sweet person.” 

The “RHOBH” star also made it clear that she doesn’t personally know Tisdale and, as such, can’t particularly speak for her.

“And I don’t say it with disdain in the way I just said it. But I don’t know Ashley Tisdale, so I would like to be transparent. And I do like Meghan Trainor as well,” she added, per The Blast.

Shortly after Handler spoke about the mom group drama, an insider gave some insights into how the dynamics in Tisdale’s group chat slowly changed over time. 

From “being on the same page, having fun,” and making plans together, things eventually took a turn, and Tisdale felt that nobody took her seriously anymore, explained the source.

According to The Blast, her fun memes and questions were being ignored on the group chat, and she felt sidelined by the people she once held close to her heart.

Tisdale’s feelings led her to send a text to the group, admitting how she felt left out. “This is too high school for me, and I don’t want to take part in it anymore,” she noted in her essay before distancing herself from the members of the group. 

Her exit from the group resulted in several theories from fans, who began to speculate that she left due to her “MAGA” beliefs.

However, this claim was later debunked by one of Tisdale’s reps, who confirmed that she is a registered democrat, per The Blast.

Although Tisdale felt sidelined by her former friends, she wasn’t the only one who reportedly felt hurt in the group. Following the release of her essay, Moore and Duff allegedly revealed that her confession left them feeling unsettled. 

“They all feel blindsided and hurt by Ashley speaking out the way she did,” a source said, as reported by The Blast.

They also reportedly disagreed with the way Tisdale handled the situation, as they felt it could’ve been resolved privately.
