All 10 Seasons of Influential Sci-Fi Masterpiece Are Coming to Netflix

Netflix is preparing to bring back one of television’s most influential sci-fi shows. All 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1 are set to return to the platform. This marks a major addition to the streamer’s early 2026 catalog and gives fans another opportunity to rewatch the series. 

Stargate SG-1 coming back to Netflix soon

Netflix is preparing to boost its sci-fi lineup in early 2026 with the return of Stargate SG-1, bringing the complete 10-season run of the show to the platform. The series, which previously left the service in 2022, is set to reappear following a new licensing agreement with MGM.

According to What’s on Netflix, all 214 episodes spanning Seasons 1 through 10 will begin streaming on February 15, 2026. In addition to the United States, the show will also be available for streaming in selected international markets, including the United Kingdom and parts of Latin America. 

Created by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner, the series builds on the 1994 film Stargate from Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich. Set one year after the movie’s conclusion, the show follows the SG-1 team as they pass through an ancient alien portal to explore distant planets, form alliances with other civilizations, and defend Earth from hostile forces.

The core cast features Richard Dean Anderson as Colonel Jack O’Neill, Michael Shanks as Dr. Daniel Jackson, Amanda Tapping as Major Samantha Carter, Christopher Judge as Teal’c, and Don S. Davis as General George Hammond. Stargate SG-1 premiered on July 27, 1997, and ultimately concluded on March 13, 2007. 

The series has continued to enjoy strong audience support long after its original run. On Rotten Tomatoes, Stargate SG-1 holds an average 90 percent score on the Popcornmeter. Its return to Netflix comes as interest in the Stargate franchise grows again. Prime Video has confirmed that a new series set in the universe is in development. However, plot details and casting have not yet been announced.
