Amanda Batula broke her silence about her split from Kyle Cooke during a joint interview on Tuesday.
Ahead of the 10th season of Summer House, Amanda, 34, and Kyle, 43, appeared alongside their co-stars, including Carl Radke, 40, Lindsay Hubbard, 39, Ciara Miller, 30, Jesse Solomon, 32, and West Wilson, 31, as they addressed their breakup.
“Yeah, we’re good. And that’s it,” Amanda began on the January 27 episode of SiriusXM’s Front Row Series.
She then revealed that it’s “been easier to get along” with Kyle since they called it quits earlier this month.
“We talk all the time. We’re both traveling. So I’m watching the dogs. He’s watching the dogs. We’re co-parenting the dogs together. [And I] still call him if I have questions,” she shared as Kyle agreed their dynamic had been healthier.
“I think every step we’ve taken, there’s a little bit of, like, a weight has been lifted,” he explained. “And ironically, I feel like, yeah, this last week, having kind of pressed ‘post’ together, it was a little, it felt like we were a little more lighthearted.”
“I mean, look, more than anything, I want her to be happy. I want us both to be happy,” he added.
Last week, after months of rumors claiming a divorce was looming, Amanda and Kyle shared a statement with their fans and followers on their Instagram Stories.
“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they wrote. ” We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing. It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”
Days later, while speaking to Hollywood Raw‘s Adam Glyn, Kyle insisted he and Amanda were in a “good spot.”
This isn’t like a big breakup where there’s a smoking gun, and there’s a lot of hate. There’s absolutely some frustration. I’ve done things. She’s done things. But we got each other’s back,” he shared.
