Last night, Hayley Williams debuted Power Snatch, a new project made with longtime collaborator Daniel James, on Apple Music Radio.
Williams and James premiered the song “Assignment” on the radio, and shortly after announcing the new creative turn, fans discovered an Instagram account under the same name that posted another unnamed and unreleased track in the summer of 2025. Since then, fans found the song “DM” on the Power Snatch Bandcamp, which was originally released on Dec. 22, 2025.

2025 marked a monumental year for Williams after releasing her acclaimed third full-length, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, which was entirely produced by James. Earlier this month, she covered her grandfather’s song “Friends Or Lovers” after championing the release of his then-shelved album from the ’70s. On Apple Music Radio yesterday, she said he is “more important to me than any other songwriter in the world.”
“I’m more interested in the stuff that happens behind the scenes, even with other artists, being more creative in that way, and getting to help in that way,” Williams said in her AP Artist of the Year interview. “There’s so much more that can be done and so much more fulfillment that happens behind the spotlight of it all.”
Later this spring, she will begin her first-ever solo tour, which includes stops across the U.S., Europe, and the U.K., supported by Water From Your Eyes, Snuggle, and Tiberius b.
