Dorit and Kyle Clash Again, Rachel Cries Watching Dorit Get Judged for Her Feelings

When Amanda finds herself in the hot seat with Dorit, she drags Kyle into it.  On this episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit wonders where she stands with Kyle friendship-wise and Bozoma gets some disappointing news.  As Rachel tries to hold it together once the news of her divorce breaks, Amanda’s past comes to the forefront, as the women try to figure out just who she really is.

Back at Erika and Dorit’s birthday dinner, Amanda is speaking her truth about feeling “verbally  accosted” by Dorit.  Amanda even Googles the term to be certain she is using it correctly. The women seem to be aghast by this whole situation. Dorit feels hurt and disappointed because Amanda was saying things behind her back about the way she is handling PK.  Amanda points out she was merely agreeing with what Kyle had to say about Dorit and PK.

Kyle is officially punted into the spotlight, courtesy of Amanda, and Dorit redirects her anger towards her. Dorit first points out that Kyle having an opinion is one thing, but Amanda does not even know Dorit! Dorit goes on to say she will deal with Kyle coloring Amanda’s opinion of her separately.  How could Amanda judge someone she does not know, especially given the sensitivity of the content discussed?

Kyle refuses to let Dorit steamroll her and reminds Dorit that she did have some “strong words about PK” at Jennifer’s dinner.  The things Dorit is saying about PK will eventually come back to him and it’s obvious that he may not like what she is claiming. Kyle explains she cares about Dorit and doesn’t want things to get more complicated with PK, which is why she is bringing it to Dorit’s attention.

Rachel jumps in to remind the group that no one should judge and that it’s ok to vent, despite other’s opinions. Rachel goes on to say that being authentically real with friends is the point of friendship. Period. And so Dorit should be able to vent about PK without worrying if someone is judging.

Kyle wonders who Dorit is mad at and ponders if she is just mad about the situation she is in. Dorit believes her feelings are minimized and wonders why Kyle is not comprehending what Rachel just explained.

The thing is, Dorit is mad because Kyle is in the middle.  The more Kyle talks to Mauricio about PK and Dorit, the worse it will be for their friendship. Sure, Kyle hears PK’s side of the story through Mau, but that doesn’t mean Dorit can’t vent about her feelings.

Erika reminds Dorit that no one here wants anything bad to happen to her.  Dorit yells at Kyle to shut up and tells Erika to stop it. She is sick of everyone telling her what she should or should not do. Amanda gets involved to say that “this is a communication style” she is not used to. Boz lets Amanda know that she cannot walk around thinking she can control everyone’s reactions to situations.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Dorit states to Amanda, “I thought you ran away from a cult.”  Amanda admits to this and Dorit explains that if this were the case, then Amanda would likely have had more intense interactions than the dinner party that rocked her to the core.

Boz believes that Amanda has unrealistic expectations about conflict, but no one can wrap their minds around Amanda’s fantasy world void of real conversations. Rachel admits to Sutton that she knows of verbal assault and they both agree that the way Dorit spoke to Amanda was not that bad.

Rachel further shares that she is going to break down and she actually begins to cry at the dinner table, reminding everyone that she is human. Boz and Dorit take her outside to calm down and Rachel talks about the need to break. Boz understands where this emotion is coming from, considering she lost her husband and had to hold it together in front of her daughter. Rachel cries about wanting a hot girl summer, but now feels like she is having the opposite of that.  As the birthday cakes come to the table, the party breaks up, making it one of the most exhausting birthdays to date.

Kyle switches gears from fighting at a dinner party to planning her daughter’s rustic wedding.  It appears as though there is no budget for this non-traditional wedding.  But they may be able to save a bit now that Mauricio is taking DJ lessons. Could the wedding be his debut? Nothing screams mid-life crisis like DJ Mau-mentum.  I cannot.

Rachel likens Kathy to a mother-like figure and they check in over some drips and shots. Rachel talks about attempting to keep her mediation quiet for the kids’ sake and worries about judgement within the group.  Rachel needs support now more than ever and if she can’t break and speak freely, then that is not friendship. She feels like everyone needs to give Dorit some grace and she relates to that intensely. Rachel is desperate for some time out to get her mind off of what has been happening lately.

Boz and Keely FaceTime with the fertility expert.  Unfortunately, neither embryo has made it to the next phase and Boz is beyond devastated. The age of the egg is the biggest factor and Boz excuses herself as the doctor rattles on and on. Boz explains that this feels like grief, as they are her and Keely’s babies.

Dorit, Sutton, and Rachel meet for girl talk. Dorit first calls Sutton out for becoming a mute at the dinner, rather than calling Amanda out for lying. Sutton reminds Dorit that Amanda had an opinion about Dorit’s actions. Rachel thinks it was “ballsy” of Amanda to punt it to Kyle, rather than apologize for making judgements on someone she barely knows.

Amanda appears to be an enigma to the group and they really want to know more about this cult, a word that usually carries a negative connotation.  Rachel believes that they have the right to find out who Amanda really is.

In the meantime, Kyle is out walking with Amanda.  They chat about the dinner and Kyle wonders if Dorit would react that way if Boz said something. Kyle still stands by the fact that Dorit should stop talking badly about PK and Amanda wonders if Dorit brought up her cult past to embarrass her.

Dorit thought that she was going to rebuild her friendship with Kyle, but until Kyle shows up as an actual supportive friend, she is over it. Dorit claims she has protected Kyle at all costs and anyone can see that now, Dorit does not trust Kyle. Back to square one we go with Dorit and Kyle…
