Bad Bunny has been readying himself for his headlining performance at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on Sunday (Feb. 8) in Santa Clara, Ca., by “eating Smashburgers” and thinking about the details so much that it is causing him insomnia.
The Puerto Rican superstar told Apple Music today that “last night I couldn’t sleep because I was thinking about it” at 4 AM, but that the results at Levi’s Stadium will be “a huge party. Of course I will have a lot of guests — my family and friends or all the Latino community around the world.”
“It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be easy,” he continued. “I know that I told them that they had four months to learn Spanish [but] hey don’t even have to learn Spanish. It’s better if they learn to dance. There’s no better dance than the one that comes from the heart. That’s the only thing they need to worry about and enjoy.”
Bunny’s set came together during his ongoing world tour in support of Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which last weekend became the first non-English LP to win Album of the Year at the Grammys. “I want to think that it’s just 13 minutes doing something that I love, that I like, and it’s just like that,” he said. “I’m trying to enjoy it and I know that I’m going to have fun. All the crew, all the people. They’re going to have fun that day. That’s what I’m trying to focus. Just enjoy the moment, enjoy what is happening, what I’m doing. Trying not to put pressure or something on it.”
Before Bunny takes the stage, Green Day will perform at the Super Bowl opening ceremony alongside Charlie Puth singing the national anthem, Brandi Carlile leading “America the Beautiful” and Coco Jones offering “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
