Maisy Stella and Tatum Grace Hopkins cast in Life Is Strange series
Variety reports that the Life Is Strange television adaptation at Amazon Prime Video has cast Maisy Stella as Chloe and Tatum Grace Hopkins as Max.
The series centers on Max, “a photography student, who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe.” The project was first reported to be in development at the streaming giant in September 2025.
The official logline states that as Max tries to understand her ability, she and Chloe investigate the disappearance of another student and confront darker truths about their town. The description says the discovery will force them to make “an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever.” Charlie Covell writes the series and also serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Tatum Grace Hopkins will make her TV debut with the series after primarily working on stage productions. Her theater credits include roles in Broadway productions like The Queen of Versailles and For the Girls. She also appeared in the short film Meek, which premiered at a 2024 film festival. The upcoming Prime Video project marks her first major screen role.
Maisy Stella previously featured as Daphne Conrad in the ABC music drama Nashville. She later made her feature film debut in My Old Ass, cast alongside Aubrey Plaza, in 2024. Stella also appeared in Poetic License, directed by Maude Apatow, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2025.
Amazon MGM Studios produces the series alongside Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap. Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson serve as executive producers. Developers released the original Life Is Strange game in 2015.
