Buffalo Wild Wings has unveiled a new limited-time cocktail for customers who want caffeine, protein, and wings all in one order.
The chain is introducing the wing-flavored Espresso Proteini, a twist on the classic espresso martini. According to USA Today, the cocktail is infused with Buffalo Dry Rub seasoning and contains 10 grams of protein.
The Espresso Proteini includes Muscle Milk protein powder blended with traditional espresso martini ingredients. It will debut from March 13 through March 15 in celebration of National Espresso Martini Day. The drink will be available at participating locations only.
What’s Inside the Espresso Proteini?
The limited-edition drink combines:
Espresso
Standard espresso martini components
Buffalo Dry Rub seasoning
Muscle Milk protein powder
The Espresso Proteini will retail for $12. Customers can also purchase it for $20 when bundled with a six-piece boneless wings order.
The promotion runs for three days only.
The release appears to be timed around National Espresso Martini Day, giving the restaurant chain a social-media-ready menu item that blends fitness culture with bar culture.
While espresso martinis have surged in popularity in recent years, adding wing seasoning and protein powder marks a bold departure from the classic recipe.
The drink will be available while supplies last at participating Buffalo Wild Wings locations.
Whether customers are ordering it for the protein boost, the novelty factor, or pure curiosity, the Espresso Proteini is set to be one of the season’s more unusual menu drops.
