In another wild Truth Social post this Friday, Trump not only blasted media coverage but he doubled down on his administration’s strategy against Iran’s government.
Trump wrote, “We are totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise, yet, if you read the Failing New York Times, you would incorrectly think that we are not winning. Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth. We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time – Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today.”
Trump continued,
“They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
More On The War:
The message comes as tensions in the region continue to spiral.
As we previously reported, earlier this month, the United States and Israel launched what’s being described as one of the most aggressive military operations against Iran in decades. The strikes targeted key locations in Tehran, and Israeli officials claimed the operation resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
Iran quickly fired back, calling the attacks illegal and completely unprovoked. In response, Iranian forces launched a wave of missiles and drones toward Israel and several other countries in the region. Reports say at least seven nations were targeted, including Gulf states that host U.S. military bases.
According to Trump, the mission is about neutralizing a long-standing threat. He argues that Iran has spent years developing nuclear capabilities and advanced missile programs, something he says cannot be allowed to continue.
Trump has also taken his message directly to the Iranian people and military forces. He’s urged Iranian security forces to lay down their weapons and suggested citizens should consider overthrowing their government once the bombing campaign ends.
The situation escalated when Iran reportedly fired another round of missiles and drones toward Israel and neighboring countries.
With major combat operations now underway and both sides trading threats and strikes, the situation in the Middle East is becoming more volatile by the day. Trump has warned that U.S. casualties are possible as the conflict unfolds.
For now, the world is watching closely as the situation continues to develop.
As things intensify, we’ll keep you updated.
