The Valley: Persian Style‘s Mercedes “MJ” Javid had a shocking on-air fight with Jamie Kennedy after she helped him buy his mansion. Jamie claimed the reality star lacks “accountability,” as Jeff Lewis defended her.
Mercedes now works as an agent at Mauricio Umansky‘s real estate firm, The Agency. Jamie recently hired her to help him buy a mansion in Los Angeles. The two stars have been friends for many years.
On Jeff Lewis Live, Jamie claimed that Mercedes refused to give him the number of the listing agent when he couldn’t open the house’s lockbox after closing. He also claimed he was still receiving the past owner’s mail – as well as other small issues.
At the time, Jamie apparently texted Mercedes – questioning if she no longer cared to help him because she’d already been paid. In her response, Mercedes seemingly threatened to end their friendship.
“I don’t like her,” said Jamie on the radio show, via @just_bookin_around on TikTok. “She’s disrespectful, not thorough. … This is called accountability. Accountability is your kryptonite.”
When she started to laugh, Jamie clapped back, “You can laugh all you want. Cause everyone knows that’s a bulls**t cover.”
At one point, Mercedes called Jamie “disrespectful” and “demeaning.”
“I’m the client. Do you understand that?” Jamie went on. “You just made 60 to 90 thousand dollars.”
“No, I didn’t,” said Mercedes. “I’m not looking at your face, because it’s unacceptable.”

At the end of the episode, Jeff stood up for Mercedes: “Listen to me for one second [Jamie], cause we only have one minute. You have to look at intent. She’s a really good person who cares about you. And that’s what you have to look at. … She was not trying to keep anything from you. She was not trying to screw you over. She really did her best to service you. She really did, Jamie.”
“This has been a really tough hour for me because we’re all friends here,” Jeff added. “And out of all [my guest hosts], you two were the really two of the closest. … So I really hope [that] eventually you guys can get through this.”
“Yeah, I worked my a** off,” said Mercedes. “And everyone that works [with] me knows it.”
Jeff added, “I think she’s feeling attacked and her business was put on blast.”
“That’s all it is,” Mercedes agreed. “I got attacked for no reason. I didn’t deserve it, and I defended myself.”
