Sleeping With Sirens released their new single, “An Ending In Itself,” produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Circa Survive, Movements). The track is about hiding pain behind pretending while longing for a real connection.
“This song is a love letter to anyone in the midst of struggle,” vocalist Kellin Quinn says. “I think we live in an age where we’re supposed to pretend like we have it all together all of the time, so much so that we’re afraid to let anyone in. I think it’s important to have open dialogue and to ask for help when we need it. This song is about being brave enough to admit that we’re not always okay. No matter what you’re going through, there is hope.”

“I had no idea what to expect the first day of meeting the band and writing in the studio,” Yip says. “We all agreed to just come in and build without pretense. In a few short hours we wrote this song and had it roughly produced by the end of the day. Since then we’ve become brothers and everyone in the band has been a pillar in my daily life. I love these guys. So grateful for the trust and inviting me in the last few years.”
The video, directed by Max Moore, shifts from color to black and white, showing the band performing in a group of barren trees before Quinn lights the last tree with leaves on fire. Later this year, Sleeping With Sirens will play at Welcome to Rockville, Warped Tour, Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.
