Bozoma Saint John is firing back at Sarah Michelle Gellar, who labeled The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “boring” during an interview earlier this month.
After Andy Cohen, 57, slammed the actress for “trashing” the show on his radio show, Boz, 49, insisted that there’s plenty of drama among the women as she explained the current storylines, teased the recently-taped reunion special, and reacted to the feud between Dorit Kemsley, 49, Kyle Richards, 57, and Erika Jayne, 54.
“Here’s the thing: There has to be moments where you get deep, and sometimes that depth doesn’t require a lot of action, you know, because our lives are really real,” Boz told Page Six. “There’s a lot of drama going on. That doesn’t necessarily mean conflict between us, but it is drama within each of our individual lives, and you gotta allow space for that.”
“[Season 15] sets it up for a great next season. Because then you let things play out, you know? So things are building. We gotta let it build,” she added.
As RHOBH fans may have seen, Sarah was featured on Page Six Radio, where she confirmed the series was “boring” and “slow” moving before shading newbie Amanda Frances, 41.
“I don’t think she’s polarizing; I just don’t think anyone enjoys her,” she stated. “If you choose to go on this show, then you have to be ready to open yourself up and be honest, and I feel like she missed that memo.”
During another interview, Boz reflected on the reunion taping.
“I think that a lot of folks had a lot to say,” Boz told Us Weekly. “Because, you can imagine, some of the unresolved tension between Dorit and Kyle, obviously. Dorit and Erika, Dorit and [Sutton Stracke], Dorit and Amanda, me and Amanda, me and Kyle a little bit. It was a very tough day, but I really believe that everybody got what they wanted to say out — which is the most important thing.”
While Boz noted that she was “not usually a woman who is speechless, she admitted to being “shocked” by the drama between Dorit, Kyle, and Erika in Italy.
“I was sitting there staring like, ‘Oh my god. I can’t believe this is happening,’” she recalled. “I wanted to stop it, you know? I wanted to figure out a way to get in there and be like, ‘No girls, don’t do this. Don’t say that. Oh my god, they said it.’ And then I wanted to figure out a way to help calm things. But it was — it was actually impossible.”
Despite the feud, Boz said she enjoyed the time she spent in Italy.
“I loved being there,” she shared. “I know it doesn’t probably come off that way, but it was so gorgeous. Villa Bibbiani is a dream. So the fact that there was drama — Lord, help us.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
