Choosing Your Landing Spot Wisely Tips

Within every map on PUBG Mobile, there’s loads of landing spots to aim for when starting a match. Each spot tends to be more high-risk than others too. Popular hotspots like the Military Base or School in the Entrangel map are known for having lots of great loot early on, but lots of incoming players that could shoot you down quickly.

When picking where you land, you want to consider the risk factors while guaranteeing a chance at loot like weapons and gear. A great strategy is to land right outside a moderately busy area that gives you ample time to scan the area and find a safe way to enter. Otherwise, starting in a guaranteed safe spot near the outskirts of the map is good too.

Moderate Risk, Some Rare Loot
Low Risk, Less Loot

Khao, Lakawi, Mongnai, Camp Alpha/Bravo/Charlie

Vikendi

Essential PUBG Beginner Weapons and Gear

When looking at the best beginner weapon loadouts and gear, there’s a whole bunch of options. As you continue playing through Battle Royale matches on PUBG Mobile, you’ll start unlocking the capabilities to bring your own custom loadouts. Even then, these weapons and gear are good to keep an eye out for when looting too.

The best weapons are distinguishable based on how balanced they are with their accuracy and aim handling. This also includes having less recoil which gives players better mobility. Mobility is incredibly important during shoot outs, as you’ll be moving and dodging bullets while fighting back.

-M416 (Assault Rifle – 5.56mm) – One of the best all-rounder weapons with low recoil and lots of customization options. Also excels at mid-range combat.

-SCAR-L (Assault Rifle – 5.56mm) – Easier to find than the M416 and allows beginners to learn about handling higher recoil weapons with manageable accuracy and stability.
-UMP45 (SMG – .45 ACP) – A very reliable close-ranged weapon with little-to-no recoil to be found.

Meanwhile, the best beginner gear mainly has to do with bigger inventory and better HP and Defense. That includes a bigger Backpack for inventory slots and pieces of armor. This guarantees your survival as matches go on, but you can also look into customization attachments for weapons.

-Backpack (Level 2+) – Lets you carry more health items, ammunition, and weapon attachments.-Armor (Level 2+) – Protects yourself against enemy sniper headshots and heavy fire.-Scopes – Helps with sniping from farther ranges and even close-range spraying.Tip: Focus on grabbing mainly 5.56 ammo. Most beginner guns use those!

Basic Beginner Combat Tips

Combat in PUBG Mobile can get surprisingly pretty elaborate, especially since you’ll be dealing with other players. The biggest takeaway here though is that when in a gunfight, you should always be moving! Staying still is one of the quickest ways for you to die in a match. If there’s cover nearby, using it to peek from is another good strategy, but you should be moving from cover-to-cover often.

-Jiggle Movements at Close-Range – When in close-range combat, you can perform a slight “jiggle” to dodge incoming bullets. Move your on-screen joystick left to right quickly without frantically jerking around your character.

-Crouching & Proning – The second you enter combat, you’ll want to crouch to reduce your weapon’s recoil and shrink your hitbox. This makes you harder to hit overall. Proning in tall grass is also helpful for stealth, but just make sure you don’t get caught.

-Pre-Firing Corners – If you’re behind cover and you know that your opponent is about to shoot, always start shooting first. You might get lucky and catch them off-guard with some free hits.

Tip: Always equip a fresh Level 1 piece of Armor versus a broken Level 3 one. The Level 1 has more Defense points to go around!

What is PUBG Mobile’s UC Used for?

PUBG Mobile’s UC, also known as Unknown Cash, is the game’s premium currency. Instead of increasing any stats, UC is primarily meant for buying new custom Skins for weapons, your avatar, and even vehicles.

UC is also used to purchase the Royale Elite Pass. This offers premium rewards that are exclusive to paying players, but not required to excel at the game. The currency can also be used to buy event exclusive limited items and customization too.

-Crates – Crates can be bought and opened using UC that randomly gives you different rare items. The types range from Premium, Classic, and Lucky.-Upgrades – You can upgrade weapon labs and other items by purchasing materials using UC, but this still doesn’t affect any stats.

Conclusion: Starting Your PUBG Mobile Journey in 2026

PUBG Mobile is a game with so much always going on. As with a lot of Battle Royale games, it has an incredibly competitive player base that requires learning a lot of combat strategies like jiggle movements, cover management, and prioritizing landing spots for loot. With the right loadouts, any new player in 2026 can succeed at this game as they progress through the Royale Passes and event updates to come.
