Socialites, get into this: Rapper Lil Tjay found himself in police custody Monday evening after things reportedly got heated before another major incident involving Offset.
According to authorities, Tjay was picked up by police and later booked into Broward County Jail on a misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct-affray.
Now here’s where things take a turn. Police in Seminole tell TMZ that Tjay was involved in some kind of altercation right before Offset ended up getting shot.
While details are still coming together, officers confirmed that another individual was detained at the scene, but as of now, no charges have been filed against that person. The 24-year-old’s has since been released on a $500 bond. However, he has not publicly spoken out on the incident.

Earlier reports revealed that Offset was shot Monday night near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. His team later confirmed he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Fans can breathe a little easier though—his spokesperson said he’s “fine,” just under close watch while he recovers. Meanwhile, Lil Tjay’s legal team is wasting no time clearing his name when it comes to the shooting itself.
His attorney released a statement saying,
“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulting in non-life threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos.”
She continued,
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged. with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
So while his name is definitely in the mix, his camp is making it clear, don’t put that on him.
Authorities also released their own statement confirming there was an incident in the hotel’s valet area where one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
They added that two people were detained during the investigation, and reassured the public that everything is now under control with no ongoing threat.
At this point, it’s still a developing situation. Between conflicting narratives and limited details, folks are watching closely to see what really went down that night.
