Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard spoke out about Amanda Batula and West Wilson‘s scandalous romance in a new interview.
Lindsay appeared at The Daily Front Row’s 10th Annual Fashion L.A. Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
While there, she spoke to E! News about Amanda and West’s entanglement.
“I learned about all of it as you guys are learning about it,” she shared. “And it’s all very shocking. As the days go on, I’m still shocked every day.”
While there has been a lot of drama after Amanda and West’s reveal, Lindsay did point out one upside – her commercial with ex-fiancé Carl Radke.
“If we can bring a little light and positivity in some weird, seemingly dark times, I’m here for it – and that was the point,” Lindsay claimed. “I would like to put a smile on people’s faces in the most unexpected ways.”
Lindsay also talked about the upcoming new series In the City, which will follow some of the Summer House stars, along with some new people, as they navigate daily life in New York City.
“In the City is more about our everyday lives where you’re getting a real, hard look at what we go through in the city in that next chapter of our lives,” Lindsay explained. “Some people are married, some people have kids, and some people are trying to figure out some really important big, life, adult decisions. We’re being adults now for the first time.”
Lindsay also responded to a comment on social media about West.
“Just a reminder that Mother Hubbard brought West in to this world and she will indeed be taking him out (at the reunion),” wrote the Not Mad About It podcast page.
“I was waiting for someone to connect the dots,” Lindsay replied.

Amanda and West officially confirmed their romance on March 31.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” the couple shared on Instagram.
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they continued.
Amanda and West noted they kept their relationship quiet as their “feelings evolved,” as they wanted to “take time to understand exactly what [they] were feeling.”
“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they added. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

West appeared on Watch What Happens Live a week before the pair confirmed they were an item. On the episode, he insisted that things between them were strictly platonic.
“She’s single now, and it’s happened already to other people that she’s hung out with,” West said of Amanda on the March 24 episode of WWHL. “We were just hanging out in New York. She’s single. I gotta show her the streets a little bit. But if it’s not clear, that’s a very important person to me, and I care about her a lot. That’s a friend.”
