Just when we thought we’d heard the worst of the Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s murder case,,a new update on her death certificate has everyone’s stomach turning.
RELATED: Prosecutors Alleged D4vd Dismembered Celeste Rivas Hernandez with Chainsaw After Fatally Stabbing Her
As previously reported, David Anthony Burke, better known by his stage name D4vd, is currently jailed charged with the murder and dismemberment of the 14-year-old. Prosecutors claim he murdered her in April 2025 to prevent her from exposing their relationship and “ruining his music career.”
Originally, the medical examiner’s report said the victim was “not pregnant” when she was killed. But as of April 22, that’s been officially amended. Now? It says “unknown.” If Celeste was carrying a child when her life was taken, the legal weight on Burke is about to get a whole lot heavier.
Prosecutors already revealed texts between the two discussing pregnancy and abortion back when she was 13 and he was 18. Legal experts are saying this “unknown” status isn’t just a technicality, it’s a potential game-changer for the prosecution.
A Timeline of Betrayal
The details coming out of the courtroom are absolutely horrific. Here’s what the investigation has laid out so far:
— January 2022: They meet. She’s only 11 years old.— November 2023: The sexual relationship begins. She’s 13; he’s 18.— April 23, 2025: Burke allegedly Ubers her to his Hollywood Hills home after a blowout fight.— The Motive: Prosecutors say Celeste threatened to expose their relationship and “ruin his career.” Burke allegedly chose his fame over her life, stabbing her and watching her bleed out before using a chainsaw to dismember her.
Where the Case Stands
Burke is currently sitting behind bars facing a laundry list of charges, including first-degree murder, continuous sexual acts, and mutilation of human remains. Despite the mountain of evidence, including her body being found in the trunk of his Tesla, he pleaded not guilty earlier this month.
It’s disgusting to think that a “Romantic Homicide” wasn’t just a song title for him, it was a blueprint. We’re keeping our eyes on this one, because Celeste deserved a childhood, not a death certificate that keeps getting more tragic by the day.
We will continue to keep you updated as more details develop.
