Hot Toys showed up for May the 4th with a lineup that hits a bunch of different corners of the Star Wars universe, and it’s a fun mix.
From unused concept designs to fan-favorite Jedi and a brutal-looking Sith, this wave has something for just about every collector. These 1/6th-scale figures aren’t exactly impulse buys, but they’re definitely the kind of pieces that make a shelf look next-level.
The standout oddball in the bunch is a concept art version of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Anakin Skywalker, modeled with the likeness of Hayden Christensen. This one isn’t pulled from anything we actually saw on screen. Instead, it’s based on early design work that imagines Anakin leaning harder into a darker, more regal Sith aesthetic.
“One of the most captivating alternate looks features Anakin draped in dark, layered robes accented by a striking dark reddish-purple lining,” reads the product description, calling it “a mesmerising vision of the Sith Lord he was destined to become.”
On the lighter side of the Force, there’s a new Ahsoka Tano Padawan figure inspired by Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but with a twist. Instead of sticking strictly to the animated style, Hot Toys used the likeness of Ariana Greenblatt, tying it into her live-action appearance from Ahsoka Season 1.
Rotta the Huttlet is also included, which is a deep cut that longtime fans will appreciate, especially with the character set to return in The Mandalorian and Grogu. It’s a cool bridge between eras that gives the figure a little extra personality.
Then there’s Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, brought to life with the likeness of Liam Neeson.
It’s kind of crazy that it took this long to get this figure, considering how popular the character is. Now he finally gets the premium treatment, and honestly, he looks great. This release is going to fill a pretty obvious gap in a lot of collections. Now we just need a proper Padawan Obi-Wan to stand next to him.
Rounding things out is a live-action styled Darth Maul based on Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, a Disney+ animated project that’s already getting attention from fans.
This version of Maul leans hard into a more aggressive, battle-ready design, and the updated lightsaber effects look like they could seriously elevate display options. It’s a sharp, intimidating take on the character that feels fresh without losing what makes Maul iconic.
None of these figures come cheap, and tracking them down isn’t always easy, but that’s part of the game with Hot Toys. If you’ve been waiting to add something new to your Star Wars setup, this drop brings some genuinely cool options to the table.
