Zendaya’s romantic run continues. From rumors her and her fiancé Tom Holland tied the knot to starring in The Drama rom-com and giving lesson after lesson in wedding attire, the actress’ latest look was more about romantic beauty than method dressing.
At Louis Vuitton’s 2027 Cruise show in New York, Zendaya channelled “the essence of Edie”—Sedgwick that is, as her long-time stylist Law Roach put it. Referencing the 1960s socialite who had, according to Vanity Fair, a “brief, white-hot, and totally doomed romance” with Andy Warhol (which could also be said about Zendaya’s marriage in The Drama), her look captured that same dramatic essence.
Her pixie cut was adorned with a side-swept bang veiling just the corner of one eye via hairstylist Ursula Stephen. With the other side slicked behind her ear, a big, 1920’s style half-curl took the place of a sideburn. Unlike other kiss curls Zendaya’s done, this one had a more natural finish like Edie’s pixie rather than the popular gel-drenched Josephine Baker style.
Her makeup and nails spoke the same love language and the hair. Her eyes—keyed by makeup artist Ernesto Castillas—were flirtatious and bare, requiring nothing but liner, mascara, and lightweight lashes. To finish off the look, her matching peach blush and lips were the most romantic compliment to her wedding classic French tips.
And, if she was still following the traditional bridal rhyme as seen her The Drama press run, her custom Louis Vuitton dress would be her “something new.” The gray-silver mini dress—which matched her heels—draped off her shoulder just as her bang draped over her eye.
But, the most romantic detail was the $22,800 worth of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, which she wore even after she changed out of her dress and into something she saw five minutes ago—on the runway. Leaving the show in the collection she just sat front row for, her romantic style turned more casual for the after party: a motorcycle jacket, yellow satin boxer shorts, and the same silver pumps from the look before.
After all, every bride needs an outfit change.
