Despite Ray J previously revealing he has a life-threatening heart condition, he agreed to fight amateur MMA fighter Supah Hot Fire during Adin Ross’ recent MMA event. Before the “One Wish” singer lost by knock out, his friend, singer Chris Brown told him, “Please don’t get your a** whooped” and “Do not die.” After losing, Ray suggested the fight was supposed to be rigged.
Ahead of Ray’s MMA fight against amateur fighter Supah Hot Fire, born DeWayne Stevenson, light-heavyweight fighter Scam Likely, born Samuel White, asked the “One Wish” singer how he agreed to fight after previously claiming he had a serious heart condition.

On Saturday (May 23), Scam Likely posed the question during a pre-fight press conference. He said, “N***a, aren’t you dying soon? That’s what you told us. That’s what I was informed.” Ray fired back, “You want to see my die, bro?” Scam Likely replied, “No, of course not. I love you. You’re a legend.”
Ray J said, “That’s why I’m putting it all in the ring. If this n***a can really do it, he’ll k*ll me …in the ring. I’m about to die for this sh*t, n***a. I’m dying for mine, n***a. We’re dong MMA, n***a, everything. Choking, kicking. N***a, spitting.”
Back in January, Ray J told fans, “My heart is only beating [at] like 25%.” He thanked everyone for prayers. Then, in February, Ray J performed at a concert with a heart monitor and claimed a fan stole it. He begged for it back, stating, “I need it for analytics. It’s important. This is serious.”
While appearing on ’The Jason Lee Show’ nearly two weeks ago, Ray addressed his January and February comments and gave an update on his heart health. He said, “I am still sick. My heart was only beating [at] like 20%.”
Ray J Knocked Out By Supah Hot Fire At Adin Ross’ MMA Event, Suggests Fight Was Supposed To Be Rigged
On Saturday (May 23), Ray J stepped into the ring with Supah Hot Fire. By the end of the MMA event, he was laid out on the mat. With less than 3 minutes left in the second round, Supah Hot Fire threw a right hook, connecting with Ray J’s face. The punch left the singer dizzy, resulting in him slowly falling to the mat.
Ray got up then went to his corner to gather himself. As officials named Supah Hot Fire the winner, Ray J seemingly suggested that he was fooled and taken advantage of. He grabbed host Ben Da Don’s microphone, looked at his opponent and said, “Yo, I thought we had a plan.”
Ben, born Benius Martaize Beard, said, “What the f**k you just say?” Ray again went on the mic and said, “Damn, bro. Like that? For real, my n***a? That’s janky as f**k. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to get nobody in trouble, but damn, my n***a. N***a, we took an L[oss] tonight.” Ben trolled back, “No, we didn’t take sh*t.”
