A resurfaced video of Real Housewives of Rhode Island star Kelsey Swanson saw her revealing she had a brain tumor.
In a video entitled “Meet Miss Rhode Island USA 2017 Kelsey Swanson,” Kelsey detailed the ordeal.
“Growing up, I was very athletic but also very creative at the same time,” she began. “Art was my favorite subject.
“In 2014, after my first pageant, I was a passenger in a car that was hit by a drunk driver. My neurologist found a brain tumor that I never knew I had.”
Kelsey explained the tumor could have made her go blind.
“I was just beside myself and in shock,” she added. “My parents were by my side the entire time.”
Kelsey ended up undergoing brain surgery for the tumor.
Luckily for her, she shared that “after a lot of headaches and fatigue and hard work, here I am back to perfect health.”
On the currently airing first season of RHORI, fans were introduced to Kelsey as being a woman who had a rich boyfriend whose house she lived in. She admitted he was with her for half the year and saw other women for the other half.
She also shared that she had another man she saw as well.
Reality Blurb exclusively confirmed a rumor that Kelsey’s real story wasn’t necessarily what she was painting it to be.
A TikTok had surfaced from user @OpenlyChris popped up that had some alleged tea to spill on Kelsey.
Chris stated that the overemphasized trope on RHORI is that “everyone in Rhode Island knows everything.”
“And let me tell you, I had a little moment at the dermatologist, which really does show how everyone knows everything,” he said.
Chris stated he went to his dermatologist appointment, and the PA, from Rhode Island, said she had “some tea.”
“So she starts telling me, everyone in Rhode Island knows this, but by watching the show, clearly that’s not necessarily the exact story being told,” he noted, sharing the gossip was about Kelsey.
“So she’s telling me that everyone in Rhode Island knows that Kelsey and her boyfriend broke up before they started filming Real Housewives,” he dished. “And that upon the season being aired, the family was pissed off because of what was shared.”
An insider alleged to Reality Blurb that the rumor Chris was referring to was indeed “true.”
They went on to note they don’t believe Kelsey “is still in the house” as what Chris “said is true” about them having broken up prior to filming.
They added that, when Kelsey was initially cast, she was “together” with her boyfriend at that time.
