RHOBH couple Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards aren’t giving up on their marriage despite the current struggles they are facing as a couple.
Mauricio Umansky tells Page Six that he and his wife, Kyle Richards, are working on their marriage behind the scenes despite their recent confirmation that they are, in fact, separated.
“She was filming her confessionals today, so that’s why she couldn’t be here today,” Mauricio told the outlet when asked why Kyle Richards wasn’t in the “Dancing With the Stars” audience on Tuesday.
“And we’re struggling. We’ve been very open about it,” he added. “We’re separated [but] we’re not throwing in the towel yet.”
The RHOBH couple, who have been married since 1996, are “going to try” to work on their relationship issues and “see” what happens.
“When we know what happens to us, you will know what happens to us,” he promised.
These comments from Mauricio come just days after both he and Kyle confirmed that they are separated after denying the rumors for the last several months.
“Kyle and I are human beings, OK? We have emotions, we have feelings, we’re going through a really hard time, OK?” the Buying Beverly Hills star told TMZ on Friday, September 29.
“We are currently separated, we are not talking about divorce, and we’re trying to deal with this stuff internally with ourselves privately.
“Divorce is not part of our conversation right now. That is not part of what we’re dealing with. We’re dealing with a separation,” the RHOBH husband reiterated.
“We’ve had 26 amazing years,” he continued, noting that the past year has been “really tough” on the RHOBH couple.
Mauricio also addressed rumors that Kyle cheated on him with country singer Morgan Wade.
“There is no doubt in my mind that Kyle has not slept or cheated with Morgan Wade. They are really great friends,” he told TMZ on Friday. “They are filming stuff together; they’re doing stuff together. They are not in a relationship.”
Regardless of what happens with their marriage, Mauricio insists that he and Kyle “always love each other” and will “always be friends.”
The RHOBH couple wed in 1996. They share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Mauricio is also stepfather to Kyle’s daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Kyle confirmed her separation from Mauricio following his statement the day prior.
In the days following, Kyle was seen being comforted by friends following the split announcement.
