On the heels of Keke Palmer coyly evading personal questions on her relationship status, she’s opening up about how she’s learning to set boundaries and refrain from oversharing.

Keke Palmer Has “Learned A Lot” About The Importance Of Privacy
The Alice actress shared her commentary during a sit-down with PEOPLE. She started out by declaring that, due to the unpredictability of public opinion, she’s attempting to set “personal boundaries” with how much she shares. After all, she “can’t control” how fans respond to all of her decisions!
“I can’t control how everybody’s going to take something. And also I’m having my own personal boundaries for what I feel like I want out there or what I want to give people the opportunity to speak on.”
Remaining on the subject, Palmer noted that she’s “learned a lot” regarding the importance of knowing what to share and what to stay mum about.
“I think I learned a lot of different things along the way in terms of what my boundaries are, what I’m willing to share, what I’m not willing to share. I think it’s hard to defend yourself to people that don’t even know you or that already have so many preconceived notions about you.”
Keke Palmer added that she’s “getting to a position” where she wants to “not be so reactive to other people” and simply live her best life.
“You end up getting to a position where you’re like, ‘Well, wait a minute. Let me just do me and not be so reactive to other people. Let’s not let my choices be so much in a reaction to how other people are treating me.’”
Keke’s Commentary Follows Her Situation With Darius Daulton
As The Shade Room reported, Keke’s commentary follows her child’s father, Darius Daulton, catching backlash for critiquing the outfit that Palmer wore to Usher‘s Las Vegas residency.
Specifically, Darius quote tweeted a video of Keke and Usher, adding, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.”
This opened the floodgates as people came thru and let Darius have it! Keke also seemingly clapped back by starring as the leading lady in Usher’s “Boyfriend” video.
Nonetheless, Darius later shut down reports that he had supposedly “moved on” from Keke, and Palmer eventually showed that she had Daulton’s birthday tattooed beneath her booty cheek.
When Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager eventually asked about the status of her relationship with Darius Daulton, Keke Palmer notably declared, “Mind y’all’s business.”
