The rumor mill around The Batman: Part II is buzzing again as Bat villain Hush is being rumored to be the next main antagonist in the coming sequel.
Take the following with a grain of salt because it hasn’t been confirmed, but according reporter Jeff Sneider, he is hearing “whispers” that Hush could be the next villain during the most recent episode of the Hot Mic podcast. Sneider added that it is just a rumor at this stage.
Where there is smoke there is fire as director Matt Reeves previously alluded to wanting to use Hush.
While promoting the first movie, Reeves participated in a Q&A with Twitter Movies in which he was asked about what villains he would love to bring into his sequels. In response, Reeves revealed that he would be interested in bringing Hush to the big screen:
“There are so many, and, I dunno… I think Hush is a really interesting one to do. I’ll say Hush. But that doesn’t mean that the next one will be Hush!”
For those of you who have read the excellent Batman: Hush comic the last 20 years, Hush, also known as Dr. Thomas Elliot, is a shadowy figure, his face shrouded in bandages, his eyes gleaming with malice. He is a surgeon by trade, but his skills are often put to more sinister use.
Hush is a master of disguise and deception, able to infiltrate the highest echelons of society undetected. Hush is a patient and cunning foe, his plans carefully orchestrated and executed with ruthless precision. He is a threat to everything Batman stands for, and the Dark Knight must always be vigilant to thwart his schemes.

Previously in The Batman, in a flashback scene it was revealed that a reporter named Edward Elliot was going to reveal Wayne family secrets before Thomas Wayne had Carmine Falcone silence him. Could his son Thomas now want to seek revenge?

Speculation is rife that the sequel might introduce Dick Grayson, the original Robin, and potentially even Clayface. Matt Reeves is co-writing the script of the sequel with Mattson Tomlin.
The heads of DC Studios recently revealed that The Batman: Part II is set to hit theaters on October 2025. The first movie earned $770.8 million at the worldwide box office, a figure that makes it the seventh highest-grossing movie of 2022.
