RHOP’s Gordon Thornton slams wife Mia Thornton for being a cheating gold digger while claiming she left him for a richer, younger man.
Another Bravo divorce has turned UGLY. Gordon Thornton is coming out swinging against his estranged wife and RHOP star Mia Thorton.
G recently chatted with TMZ about his and Mia’s surprising split. He quickly dragged his estranged wife for filth while revealing some shocking secrets about their marriage.
According to Gordon, he knew “there’s going to come a time when [he] won’t be able to satisfy all of [Mia’s] needs,” which is why he gave Mia the green light to find “what you need elsewhere” as long as she obeyed his “two rules…”
Gordon admitted that he knew, due to his age and recent prostate cancer surgery, that he wouldn’t be able to satisfy Mia sexually.
The 71-year-old’s rules included: “Don’t give me a reason to look for it” and secondly, “Keep the kids out of it.”
Gordon said he told the RHOP star, “As long as you do that, I’m fine.” However, come to find out, Mia didn’t follow the rule, and as a result, G isn’t fine.
What “aggravates” Gordon the most is that despite him giving the RHOP star “permission” to have relations outside of their marriage, she still chooses to “lie” and “sneak around.”
“[Mia] still chooses to sneak around, chooses to lie, chooses to continually change her story about what’s going on and why she’s leaving me and this, that, and the other – actually NOT telling me why,” Gordon alleges.
G noted that he offered the 38-year-old “the best of both worlds” as long as she didn’t make her exploits “public … or involve the kids.”
“Well, she was still sneaking around and thinking I didn’t know,” Gordon explained, adding that he paid the phone bill and saw records of Mia’s phone calls from when he was out of town.
“She made the choice – I guess – to choose him over me … She’s told me this guy’s her soul mate.”
On top of all that, Gordon now believes that Mia only married for his money, and now that his funds are inaccessible, she has moved on to greener pastures. He alleges that the RHOP star is leaving him in search of an “upgrade.”
“Mia married me for my money and for the life she thought I could provide,” Gordon alleged. “I absolutely believe her leaving me now is tied to the fact that I don’t have access to assets and funds unlimited at this point in time. This guy that she’s seeing has access to funds, and I think she’s leaving me for that reason.”
The RHOP star reportedly “mentioned that they [Mia and her new boo] are going to buy a house together and doing businesses together and other kinds of things together, which tells me [the] interest is based on [the] monetary gain from the relationship.”
“I absolutely believe that she’s leaving me because she sees an upgrade.”
As for the future, Gordon says he would only get back together with Mia for the sake of their kids and not because he loves her. In fact, G says he never wants to be associated with the RHOP star again beyond co-parenting their children.
“If we end up getting back together, it will only truly be for some advantage for the kids. It would not be for love, not on my part. Right now, I can’t trust her. I don’t believe what she says. I don’t believe that she loves me.”
On September 29, the RHOP star announced her and Gordon’s separation after 11 years of marriage to PEOPLE.
“Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs,” the 38-year-old Bravo star said. “At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay.”
“We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out,” she added.
Mia and Gordon have been married since March 2012. They share two children: son Jeremiah Carter, 8, and daughter Juliana, 6. Both Mia and Gordon also each have one child from their previous relationships.
The Bravo couple’s marital woes are set to play out on season 8 of RHOP, which premieres Sunday, November 5 on Bravo.
