RHOSLC’s Angie Katsanevas tackled rumors that her husband is gay head-on after costar Meredith Marks was accused of spreading the gossip.
On the October 10th episode of RHOSLC, Angie Katsanevas quickly shut down the gossip about her husband’s sexuality after being informed of the rumors at Lisa Barlow‘s après no ski party.
Angie had an explosive confrontation with RHOSLC co-star Meredith Marks after learning that the jewelry designer was spreading rumors suggesting that her husband, Shawn Trujillo, was sleeping with men behind her back.
Meredith denied that she’s said anything about Angie’s marriage beyond saying she’s heard rumors.
Following her confrontation with Meredith, Angie recounted the drama to her husband, Shawn, who was shocked by the claims.
“She started alluding to the fact that she could destroy our family and that you actually like men or you are hooking up with men on the side,” Angie explained.
“What a f–king idiot,” Shawn replied.
However, the new RHOLSC couple remained unbothered by the gay rumors, as it’s something they have been dealing with for years.
“That’s been a thing for you that you’ve had to listen to for 30 years,” Angie noted. “You know, you’re a hairdresser, so you’re automatically gay.”
As for Shawn, he could care less about the claims surrounding his sexual orientation but took issue with Meredith’s “smear campaign” about his fidelity.
“Bottom line is gay, straight, whatever; it’s the adultery part of it that’s bad,” Shawn said. “I know I don’t have to explain this s–t to you. It’s crazy, it’s nuts, it’s a smear campaign, and to what end is this woman willing to go to?”
Shawn also got emotional thinking about how the rumors could affect their 12-year-old daughter.
“You know Elektra’s gonna hear about this, and it kills me to think that she would ever think that I would do something like this,” he continued. “I work my ass off to be her hero.”
“Don’t let this bother you because I stood up for my family, and I stood up for our marriage and for our family unit. She’s a miserable bitch. Don’t let her get to you,” Angie said while trying to comfort her husband. “You are [her hero], and the way that you handle this is gonna show her. She’s gonna admire you even more.”
