As Kuch Kuch Hota Hai nears its silver jubilee, director Karan Johar has a delightful surprise in store for fans. On Instagram, Johar confirms the remake of ‘Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayee,’ featuring B Praak, titled ‘Version 2.0.’

The original rendition of the song featured the enchanting voices of Alka Yagnik, Manpreet Akhtar, and Udit Narayan. With its moving lyrics by Sameer and soul-stirring composition by Jatin-Lalit, Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayee stands as one of the most cherished tracks from the 1998 chart-topping soundtrack.

B Praak, bubbling with enthusiasm and gratitude, shared his excitement on social media. He stated, “They say ‘If you dream with all your heart, the dream starts manifesting and they do come true.’ I am thrilled to announce that I got the HONOUR to sing for one and only @iamsrk, sir, and @kajol #ranimukherjee.”

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to have a special screening on its 25th anniversary

Besides the song remake, a special fan screening is planned to celebrate Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s cinematic milestone. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is also available on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for viewers to watch.

The film, renowned for its unforgettable dialogues and timeless melodies, has left an incredible mark on Bollywood. Further, the announcement was accompanied by an Instagram post that presented the film’s 25th-anniversary poster. The caption read, “Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai aur #KuchKuchHotaHai special screening ka mauka bhi ek hi baar milta hai!”
