Adam Copeland’s appearance headlined the AEW spoilers for Friday, October 20,2023. They also revealed the outcome of the fight between Mistico and Rocky Romero. The bouts were taped on Wednesday, and the spoilers of five fights were out signaling a humdinger weekend.
The fights were taped on Wednesday night at Rosenberg, Texas. The Dark Match between Anna Jay and Nyla Rose saw them defeat two enhancement talents prior to Dynamite. According to Wrestling Observer, Adam Copeland also appeared in front of a live audience for a promo following Dynamite.
The report further said Mistico emerged victorious in a 2-out-of-3 falls clash. “Mistico won the final fall with La Mistica,” it read, while also adding the crowd was “super hot” for Mistico who was seen sporting a mask that had AEW on it.
The other spoilers included the winner of the Ruby Soho vs. Skye Blue. The victor of Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta vs. Bryan Keith & Exodus Prime was revealed as well.
Adam Copeland files for trademark alongside the AEW tag team
FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler could team up with Adam Copeland. Per Wrestling Inc., Copeland has filed for trademarking “Rated FTR” — a portmanteau of the duo along with his moniker, “R-Rated Superstar.”
Copeland was on the bout with FTR for the first time in last week’s AEW Collison but is yet to wrestle alongside them. At the time of writing, the WWE Hall of Famer is beefing with former partner Christian Cage. He also has a history with FTR as they helped him train for his return in 2020. Perhaps, this reunion could be more of a wish to fight together.
From a competition viewpoint, former AEW Tag Team Champion Swerve Strickland wants to fight Copeland whom he considers one of his mentors. Only time will tell if this becomes a reality.
