Kim Kardashian was called into court this week for jury duty in a gang murder case! However, she was eventually dismissed from sitting in on the case.
According to TMZ, Kim K, who is not yet a licensed lawyer or litigant (but is studying to become one), made her way to a courthouse in Van Nuys, California this week, instead for jury duty. The site reported that Kardashian was brought into court as a prospective juror in a gang murder case.
Apparently, Kardashian was at the Van Nuys Courthouse all week as she was called into be a member of the jury panel in a case where two men have been charged with murdering another man. Reportedly, the killing was a gang-related crime.

The news site noted that one of their producers was present in the courtroom during voir dire, which is the preliminary process where potential jury members are examined by the judge, the prosecution and the defense teams.
According to TMZ, Kardashian easily assimilated with the rest of the prospective jurors despite her high-celebrity profile and status. The site noted that the other potential jurors weren’t exactly starstruck over her, and they treated her as an equal.
Kardashian did the same as she was seen making herself a part of the group by conversing with other potential jurors, and even eating snacks with them in the courthouse hallway during breaks from preliminary trial proceedings.

The site noted that the only things separating her from the rest were obviously her status, her having her bodyguard seated right next to her in the front row of the peanut gallery, and her dressing a bit “fancier” than the other prospective jurors.
This could be seen as she was photographed and taped on Thursday (October 19) as she was caught leaving the courthouse by TMZ. They spotted Kardashian wearing leather pants, high heel boots and a sleeveless white blouse, with a small black purse and black sunglasses to match.

TMZ noted that on Thursday late afternoon, the lawyers in the gang murder case had agreed on 12 jurors and 4 alternates to use in the trial, before Kardashian was ever questioned and examined. Subsequently, she was dismissed as a potential juror and left the courthouse, concluding her jury duty.
The news site recorded Kardashian as she left the Van Nuys Courthouse, and captured her walking towards a Range Rover with tons of cameras, microphone operators and more surrounding her from her and her family’s Hulu show, ‘The Kardashians.’
